Hi Jimmy. Thank you. The word is a beautiful Mayan greeting spelled In ‘lakech’. It means I am you, you are me. It acknowledges the unity and interconnectedness between ourselves and of all of life.

Yes, desires are so often misunderstood, or suppressed. If people only knew that desires are how our larger Self communicates with us, everything would be different. The bigger Self that you are wants us to have our desires fulfilled. That is why it gives us desires – to help us grow, expand and evolve.

As you say living by the Law of Self is an advanced concept or practise. Because of my own conditioning, childhood woundings, misperceptions and ingrained patterned behavior it has taken these four years of guidance from both of you to see how hard I have pushed myself within Form to make things work. Monitoring the reactions of others, looking for approval, pushing against that which I do not like, going after that which I do is eventually exhausting and draining. Giving my power away in these ways has ultimately disconnected me from my true desires. My life has begun to change in unexpected and beautiful ways as I more and more monitor Self and stop looking outward for my answers. Thank you for bringing this course to us!

Although this is new to me in the way you present it, it feels in sync with my beliefs. Intellectually, I think I will have to process a bit though. I have a block between belief and living my beliefs with regard to self. When I feel selfish, I tend to stop my progress and my desires seem selfish in light of my childrens’ needs. Saying that isn’t true and living it are two different things for me so far. I am looking for my own path to manifesting to overcome my block. Thank you for introducing this opportunity for me to work towards that goal.

There is a big difference between being selfish and being Self-centered, with a capital ‘S’. We are meant to be Self-centered. Your deep urgings and desires come from the bigger Self that you are, and following your desires is actually honoring Self.

I grew up with no sense of self. At the time I discovered that I was living life this way, I had become so habituated in thinking this way that event the thought of “thinking” from this perspective made me feel uncomfortable. I had a teacher that told us that the way to selflessness was through Selfishness and still I continued to circumvent this truth. It was when I passed a mirror a couple of years ago that I realized I had been viewing myself from the perspective of another person who parented me….it was a revelation that started allowing me to value me as I truly am….Just to be in my own “skin” so to speak was a jolt to my psyche for a while.
Thank you for supporting guiding us to our truth of Self Realization…it is where the power of creation lies.

Thank you for the first of a great video series. I always enjoy your videos/teachings.
In March of 2009 I really started living by the Law of Self and made difficult choices, but they were choices for me and my desires. My life suddenly became very peaceful and I was content. I then met someone and developed a relationship with him and have unfortunately been allowing law of form to dictate as i am now back to feeling stressed and that I’m not living authentically by staying with him. I have done so because of self limiting beliefs and the “you shoulds” from others. Thank for the reminder that I need to “listen” to my self and follow its lead.
I am grateful for your clear and simple explanations.I have found it hard to hear my body /self talking to me and have pressed the over ride button for a lifetime .As I lay here ,ill again and in pain ,I know the “cure” is deep rest,exploring my feminine principles in trust that I will be taken care of and receive the love and joy that is my birthright .All of my core beliefs about self care and abundance and support are in question here .Your videos have come at a perfect time ,thank you

I do understand what you mean by the law of Self. I have been noticing for some time the distinction between the times when it seems I do need to attend to the world of form, and how my consciousness is in that state, and the consciousness I am experiencing when I am just allowing my desires to arise, and allowing them to manifest, as if by magic, on their own. It is so delightful to be able to live there.
I so appreciate you putting together this course, and bringing into greater clarity this law and how it works; you are helping me become more aware of how my greater Self works, and it does seem clear that as we operate more and more according to the law of Self that we would be operating more and more in elegant harmony, as we are all one…. like beautiful Nature herself. Each particle of life has its perfect way of fitting in with the whole, when allowed to be as it is and follow its own flow.
I’m so looking forward to the second law!

I aim to focus on living by LoA and sometimes, difficult situations, irratations and stress brought about by the continuing recession can really drag you down, I work in the staffing industry in the UK and aiming to reclaim my previous earnings.
I do however, aim to focus inwards and to align myself with my beliefs and desires and hope that this will manifest better times. Not sure if this makes sense but I think you will understand what I mean! I will focus even more on giving power to belief in achieving my dreams rather than ‘reacting’ negatively if something is not how I would wish it to be!

Several years ago, my partner convinced me to do a collage of pictures cut out of magazines. This was a difficult process, but eventually I was able to select images that attracted me, even if I couldn’t immediately say why. In many ways, I have attracted things into my life that match the images, including performing Tai Chi on the roof of a sky scraper, and visiting Mount Cook in New Zealand. The Law of Self does work, but it is often complex and paradoxical.

The Law of Self isn’t complex, however, due to our conditioning it seems irrational. Once we are able to let go of our preconceived ideas about how the world works, everything becomes simple.
